What drew you to teaching yoga?

I first started practicing yoga twenty five years ago as a way to stay fit and flexible, without understanding the deeper meaning of the practice. My practice took on more significance and meaning while searching for a way to manage my emotional health and wellbeing during a particularly stressful time. Yoga and meditation led me to a deeper understanding of myself and, as a psychotherapeutic counsellor, I knew that I wanted to share this knowledge with others.

 

What style of yoga do you teach?

I teach Hatha, Yin and Restorative Yoga. I also run regular Sound Meditations at The Yoga Space.

Describe your class style?

My classes are strong and slow. Students have time and space to really feel into the postures. My classes are beginner accessible and taught with a sensitive, inclusive approach.
