Mat Pilates that builds real strength

Precise, intelligent movement designed to strengthen your body from the inside out — taught in our modern Woolwich studio.

Pilates that builds from the foundation

All of our mat Pilates classes take place in the downstairs studio — a darker, more focused space designed for strength, control and precision.

Our classes range from beginner-friendly fundamentals to more dynamic, full-body sessions. Whether you're completely new or looking to build on an existing practice, there is a clear place to start.

We teach Pilates properly. That means attention to detail, an understanding of how the body works, and a focus on movement that actually transfers into everyday life.

If you're not sure where to begin, we’ll guide you.

A person with brown hair in a ponytail, wearing a black sleeveless top and a ring on their right hand, is standing indoors next to a large window with sunlight coming through. They are holding onto a horizontal bar with both hands.
A woman with curly hair exercising on a yoga mat, holding a resistance band, in a dimly lit indoor space with shelves, wood logs, and chairs in the background.

What makes our Pilates different

We don’t rush through movements or chase intensity for the sake of it.

The focus is on doing the work properly — understanding how your body moves, building strength in a way that lasts, and developing control that carries into everything else you do.

You won’t get lost in the class. You’ll know what you’re working on and why.

Learn the principles. Build the foundation.

A structured introduction to Pilates that focuses on the fundamentals — breathing, neutral spine, pelvic floor engagement and core control.

Beginners, those returning after a break, or anyone wanting to improve technique

    Not suitable for:
Nobody — this class is accessible to all

Still precise. Still controlled. Just with more physical challenge.

    Mobility + Stretch

    Move better. Feel better.

A full session dedicated to mobility and flexibility — working through the joints and patterns most people neglect.

This isn’t an afterthought or a cool-down. It’s structured, progressive work designed to improve how your body actually moves.

    Best for:
Anyone feeling stiff, restricted or tight — particularly from desk work or training

    Not suitable for:
Nobody — this is suitable for all

  • The Yoga Space is such a wonderful place to practice yoga (the views are breathtaking) and I would encourage anyone considering attending a class to go for it. I have been coming to the studio for almost two years and I am so grateful to be part of such a warm and welcoming community. I had very little yoga experience when I first started coming here and Dolores and her team have been so supportive in growing my confidence. Yoga has since become a huge part of my life and has helped me be a more calm, present and happier person. The Yoga Space cafe is also great and sell what must be the best cookies in the whole world x
