We offer a range of reformer classes — from foundational sessions to more physically demanding strength work — so you can build over time and choose what your body needs.

Welcome to reformer pilates

  • Reformer Foundations

    Learn the machine. Build the foundation.

    Your introduction to the reformer. You’ll learn how it works, how to adjust it for your body, and the key movements that underpin every other class.

    Best for:
    Complete beginners or anyone new to the reformer

    Important:
    This is the recommended starting point for all new clients

  • Reformer Dynamic

    Progressive Movement - building strength

    A progressive Pilates class using the reformer to add resistance, control and full-body integration that mat work alone can’t deliver.

    Structured, intelligent, and genuinely challenging.

    Best for:
    Those who have completed Fundamentals or have prior experience

  • Traditional Reformer Pilates

    Pilates on the reformer — as it’s meant to be taught.

    Reformer Pilates, done well. This is where most people practise most of the time, building strength, control, and body awareness through the method as it was designed to be taught. Accessible, progressing, and challenging without being intimidating.

    This is your Reformer practice. Reformer Foundations is a prerequisite.

What is a reformer?

A reformer is a piece of Pilates equipment made up of a moving carriage, springs for resistance, and adjustable components to suit your body.

It allows for both supported and resisted movement — meaning it can be used for:

Rehabilitation and controlled Pilates work

Strength and conditioning

Mobility and range of motion

At The Yoga Space London, we use it for all of the above — depending on the class you choose.With six classes over 21 days, it gives you time to explore different class styles, get to know the teachers, and find a rhythm that works for your body and your schedule.

The Yoga Space London offers reformer classes in Royal Arsenal, Woolwich (SE18), just a short walk from Woolwich Arsenal Station, with fast connections via the Elizabeth Line, DLR and National Rail.

We’re easily accessible from Woolwich, Plumstead, Abbey Wood, Thamesmead, Shooters Hill and Charlton, as well as central London via the Elizabeth Line.
