Reformer Pilates classes in Woolwich

Stronger movement starts here

Four distinct classes. One piece of equipment. Pilates, strength and conditioning — all on the reformer.

A stronger way to support your practice

The reformer sits alongside our yoga and mat Pilates classes as part of a more complete way to move and train.

Where yoga builds mobility and awareness, and Pilates develops control and alignment, the reformer allows you to add resistance, progression and strength in a more structured way.

We offer a range of reformer classes — from foundational sessions to more physically demanding strength work — so you can build over time and choose what your body needs.

Whether you’re new to reformer or looking to take your training further, there’s a clear place to start.

If you’re not sure where to begin, we’ll guide you.

What makes our reformer pilates different?

We don’t treat the reformer as a trend.

We use it properly — as a tool that can deliver very different types of training depending on how it’s programmed. That means:

  • Clear class types (no confusion about what you’re booking)

  • A proper entry point for beginners

  • Real progression over time

  • Strength work that goes beyond aesthetics

You’re not just trying reformer here. You’re learning how to use it.

New to reformer? Start here

If you’ve never used a reformer before, book Reformer Fundamentals.

Even if you’re strong. Even if you’ve done Pilates. Even if you’ve used reformers elsewhere.

Start properly — everything else builds from there.

Welcome to reformer pilates

  • Reformer — Fundamentals > Start here

Learn the machine. Build the foundation.

Your introduction to the reformer. You’ll learn how it works, how to adjust it for your body, and the key movements that underpin every other class.

This isn’t slow. It’s precise — so you leave knowing exactly what you’re doing.

    Best for:
Complete beginners or anyone new to the reformer

    Important:
This is the recommended starting point for all new clients

  • Reformer — Dynamic Pilates

Pilates on the reformer — as it’s meant to be taught.

A progressive Pilates class using the reformer to add resistance, control and full-body integration that mat work alone can’t deliver.

    Structured, intelligent, and genuinely challenging.

    Best for:
Those who have completed Fundamentals or have prior experience

  • Reformer Sculpt

This is not Pilates. This is strength and tone.

A targeted, full-body workout using the reformer for resistance-based strength training. Expect glutes, core, arms and postural work designed to build lean muscle and definition.

    Best for:
Anyone looking for a strong, effective workout focused on body composition

  • Reformer Strong

    Build real strength.

A progressive strength and conditioning class using heavier resistance, more athletic movement patterns and structured progression over time.

This is the most demanding class in the reformer programme.

    Best for:
Those who want to get genuinely stronger — not just move

What is a reformer?

A reformer is a piece of Pilates equipment made up of a moving carriage, springs for resistance, and adjustable components to suit your body.

It allows for both supported and resisted movement — meaning it can be used for:

Rehabilitation and controlled Pilates work

Strength and conditioning

Mobility and range of motion

At The Yoga Space London, we use it for all of the above — depending on the class you choose. With six classes over 21 days, it gives you time to explore different class styles, get to know the teachers, and find a rhythm that works for your body and your schedule.
